Round 2 and 2 Minions

This afternoon we hosted our 2nd Annual Halloween Muggle Quidditch Match, and although it was touch-and-go there for a little bit with all the last minute sick cancellations, it really turned out great. The whole concept is foreign, and the requirements are pretty awkward, what with the capes and the pool noodles and the water/air filled beach balls getting tossed around, but the kids totally run with it, and it is really very fun to watch.

Still, at 85 degrees out there today, and sunny, it was hot, and those kids were pretty sweaty. I'll need to give those capes a little freshening up before I put them away for another year. And who knows...this could be the last year my fifth grader is willing to don a cape and run around with a pool noodle between his legs, so I snapped lots of shots. And, of course, the memories are priceless.

And then... for our second movie adaptation of the day, they both donned Despicable Me minion costumes and went out for a sweaty round of trick or treating.
And....we're done for another year!

That quidditch game is such a brilliant idea! I've wished it could be true for a long time now and so you have satisfied one of my wishes. Thank you.

Thanks, guys! It's just too bad we couldn't work it out so they could fly instead of run...
