Questions

I've been given an author questionnaire, well two actually. One, quick and easy with questions like, 'What book did you buy on the cover alone?" (I probably could have listed ten easy...) and 'What celebrity would you like to have lunch with?" (I typed in Zooey Deschanel) The other questionnaire is a doozy, requesting information about bookseller contacts, specific markets for the book, a detailed biography, and plenty more.

The one that will likely remain unanswered for the longest is the question that asks that I come up with 5-10 self-interview questions to ask and answer. The difficulty will not lie in coming up with questions, but in coming up with questions that I'd like to answer. I've already done a bit of question research--David Cranmer has come up with an awesome medley for his 7 Questions Series, and after texting a friend for suggestions this morning, they have been coming in rapid-fire every few minutes.

Some of her suggestions:

"If you had no time or money constraints for a whole day, what would you do?"

"If you could be a superhero or have a superpower, what would it be?"

The Classic: "Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?"

I want these to be fun to answer and read if at all possible, but also sort of broad in scope--and not the same questions you see in every author interview, so if you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Or if you have a question you've been dying to know the answer to, let 'er rip!

I know this has nothing to do with your post (which was great as always lol)

BUT

Last night at the grocery store I started talking to the clerk about Jane Autin's Emma.... then another clerk joined in the discussion... and then another customer!!! It was like our own little fan club in the checkout line hahaha. it made me think of you.

Congrats on selling your book. I'm always trying to come up with fun questions, when I interview authors. I just thought of this one for you.

If you had lunch with Jane Austin, what would you talk about?

You know I told my wife (last week) I wanted to do a 7 Questions with Alyssa Goodnight. Are you up for it?

I always love an old photo (from the teen or younger years). ;)

Would a question about your road to publication be good? or who did you call first after selling or what did you do to celebrate????
