Still on my lovely, relaxing hiatus from writing, I've managed to finish Rumors: A Luxe Novel (finally!) It seemed like it took me forever, but I imagine it was because I was reading in snippets: during swim lessons, in the golf cart while my husband played 18 holes, with a mini book light in the movie theater while my sons were watching the dollar movies...etc. Anyway, I'll say this--the writing was beautiful, and I very much enjoyed the saga, but it soooooo didn't end the way I thought it would, the way I wished it would. So I guess I'll have to wait for the sequel: Envy.
Now on my TBR stack are Devilish by Maureen Johnson, Sense and Sensibility by the unparalleled Jane Austen, and I'm hoping any day now...A Sweet, Far Thing by Libba Bray.
As I indulge in all this afternoon reading, I can't help but wonder what I'm missing at the RWA conference...

Indulging yourself is good for the muse.
Sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon. I got to start Breaking Dawn yesterday and hope to read most of it today...between naps.
