Some Exciting News...I Think

I don't want to jinx anything, but I think that I've got myself a critique partner! I'm very excited! I've been waffling over whether to try to look for someone for a while now, and I just sort of tripped over this opportunity.

We've exchanged pages...quite a few of them actually...and we both have similar writing styles and enjoy each other's writing. She gave me some really good comments on my work, and I hope that my comments on hers prove useful. We've both expressed interest in continuing to 'try each other out', so we'll see.

She's got three little kids, I've got two, so our exchanges may be a little infrequent, but once we work out a system, I think this will be really helpful for me. It's so useful to get a second opinion--I've been writing 'alone' for so very long now that this will be a very big change. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping it works out...

P.S. For those of you I haven't visited in a little bit...so sorry...I've been busy, and blogger has fallen through the cracks. I'll catch up soon!

WTG on the "potential" CP! I'm very grateful for my CPs. Since working with them, my writing has evolved quite a bit.

Yay! Critique partners are very helpful. I don't think I would've ever finished the first draft of my novel without mine.

I'm too much of a chicken to have a critque partner - it might mean that I'd get - eek! - critiqued. But good for you!
