Unapologetic Fuddy-duddy

I'm convinced I'm a bit of a fuddy duddy. After coming close to falling asleep last night before the movie even started, (we went to the 12:10 showing--one of eight at our local theater--and it was swarming with people and lines and...weird outfits) I didn't get home till 3:00 a.m. and had to get up at 7:00 to take my kids to camp and then ferry my niece around the city. Just got back home at 4:30 p.m. I will say this--age-wise there were fuddier duddies than me at the same showing right along with all the preteens and teens. I found that vaguely comforting.

Then today I was pulled into Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch (which I tried to convince my niece were actually the very same store), abercrombie (kids clothes), and then abercrombie again after she changed her mind. All I could think was, 'Will someone turn down the music and turn on the lights?!?' I think I held it together pretty well, all things considering.

Tonight my niece and my husband are going to see Eclipse--at least that's their plan--and I plan on going to bed quite early with my book. Just thinking about it brings a smile to my face.

I never have understood the concept of shopping in the dark that most teen mall stores are so fond of right now. I guess they know their clothes are ugly.

I'm right there with you and the "Unapologetic Fuddy-duddy." And always have been, now that I think about it.

Good for you! I'll see it in a fairly empty theater on a matinee day :) I can wait.

I've had the same thought in that store. My friend says it's so we don't notice the giant dust bunnies.
Fuddy-duddying right with you.

Well I hope you had at least a little bit of fun. I can't wait to see it, SUPER excited, but I am going to wait for the theaters to calm down a bit haha.

Not a fuddy duddy. Seeing teens swooning over Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner between the hours of 10 PM and 11 AM is more than any adult can be expected to handle.

How was the movie itself?

I hear ya. I can't, for the LIFE of me, stay up past ten anymore!
