Blech!

Yesterday a mysterious, whirlwind illness came upon me at about 1:30 p.m. I'd had a sinus headache all morning and taken an Excedrin and an allergy pill to no avail. Then at 1:30 I started to feel dizzy and nauseous. Being out Christmas shopping (yay me!), I hightailed it to my car and drove home. I spent the next hour on the floor of my bedroom, fending off kisses from the dog and trying to deal with my excrutiating headache. After picking up the boys from school I dropped onto my bed and was even more ill as the night progressed (let's just say I tasted my lunch all over again...) I fell asleep at about 9:30 and didn't wake up through the pouring rain or my husband's alarm or shower. Then today I felt weak and heavy-headed.

My mom sent me a link to a sickness flowchart, and evidently I was either dealing with a migraine or meningitis. I cannot, however, count a sensitivity to light as one of my symptoms, so I think the results are inconclusive.

And other diagnoses?

Electrophotomicrographically speaking, it sounds to me like Pneumonoultrasilicovolcanoconiosis.

No charge.

Oh man! Sounds horrible! It's not a sinus infection, is it? I've had a couple of those and they are killer!

Lights don't always bother me when I have a migraine. Sounds like you might have a sinus infection. I always have horrible headaches when I have a sinus infection.
