Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things I'm Happy About Today
other than the obvious...

1. I saw Eragon today with my kids. None of us had read the book and as such, we enjoyed it.

2. All my Christmas shopping and wrapping is done!! (that should really count as two things...or three).

3. I finally, finally got my ebook (UP) uploaded to Mobipocket. And let me tell you, it's a lot more involved that you might think.

4. I'm on schedule, baking and freezing in preparation for the three big meals at my house this year.

5. I finally finished Chasing Vermeer and really, really liked it.

6. Both of my sons got to attend their school Christmas parties (it was touch and go there for a bit), and I helped out at the first grade party.

7. My house is shaping up nicely for the holidays. Nothing to get you motivated to clean like a gazillion guests descending...

8. It's not snowing here. Or raining. Yet.

9. My mom elf-ed me!

10. In the last couple of days, I carved out a couple of hours to write, or rather, revamp.

11. My little one's dinner table discussion: 'Mom, did you know that in China they use tater tots as napkins?' No. I did not know that...seems counterproductive.

12. For better or worse, the results of the writing contest I entered should be coming back soon.

13. Photo Christmas cards...Love 'em!

It sounds like you are all set for Christmas. I haven't seen Eragon yet but I'm hoping to while I'm off work.

Now, you need to read the book! Eragon is one of my new favorites (if you couldn't tell how I rave about it on my site. lol)

I love Photo Christmas cards, too! I usually do them, but didn't this year.

I'm hoping to see Eragon this weekend, though my sister is refusing to wait for me to get home before she heads to the theatres!

I elfed myself a few days ago and have been sending the link to friends. It's just brilliant!

Have a Merry Christmas, Alyssa!

Hmm....tater tots for napkins...the Chinese might be on to something...

I don't have kids, but when I do, I hope they say wacky stuff like that to me. :D

Alyssa - the movie everyone was talking about on my site was "IT's a Wonderful Life."

That tater tots comment was the funniest thing I've read all week. Very amusing.

That's amazing you've managed to carve out writing time this time of year! WTG!

I'm waiting to hear back about a contest too...:-(

Good job! It must feel great to be so far along and still have Christmas to look forward to :)

I'm with your little one on the tater tots. Really, they are indispensible at the table, useful for almost any purpose. We should all have more tater tots in our lives!

Beck...I don't know if I should admit this or not, but...

I did know that it was 'It's A Wonderful Life'...however...I have not seen that movie in its entirety and so have not seen that kiss.

Now here I sit...quietly waiting for backlash.
